Although professional photography is my main occupation, I regularly take on assignments as a location scout / coordinator for photographers and TV crews from abroad.
I work directly with the Travel agency Isafold Travel (www.isafoldtravel.is) which organize tailor-made excursion around Iceland. Because of my background my knowledge of Icelandic nature and landscape comes in good use when photo or TV crews visit Iceland. In some cases my photo-stock has often been browsed by art directors and producers before coming to Iceland to get ideas for locations which might suit their projects, often saving valuable time. My expertise enables me to find the precise location required by you, therefore reducing unnecessary time and cost.
However like everything in Iceland we are restricted by seasons and the variable weather conditions.
The interior of Iceland is not accessible during some time of the year, but having said this, there is not a single job that I have been involved in organizing that has not yet been accomplished.
During changes in the weather there can be fantastic displays of light in the sky,which every cameraman loves. However the Icelandic weather and landscapes are pretty challenging, amazing and often taking us by surprise – even us the Icelanders
